BIOGRAFIA

EDUCATION
Born in Milan (Italy) 01/11/1964. 1978-1983 Gymnasium (Liceo Classico).
1990 Graduation in Nuclear Engineering, Politecnico di Milano (Italy) (marking 100/100).
Thesis on electroless deposition of Ni-P and Co-P thin films for magnetic recording applications.
1990-1 Research contract at the Nuclear Engineering Dept., Politecnico di Milano,
work on statistical mechanics and stochastic processes. 1994 Ph.D. in Electrochemical
Engineering, thesis on the electrodeposition of alloys for magnetic recording applications.
1994-5 post-doc at the National Physical Laboratory, Teddington, UK (supervisor Martin P. Seah):
research on quantitative AES.

ACADEMIC POSITIONS
1997 wins national competition for tenured associate professor
of applied physical chemistry, appointed at Lecce University.
2001 wins national competition for tenured full professor of
applied physical chemistry, appointed at Lecce University.
2008-2012 vice-dean of the Faculty of Industrial Engineering.
Courses in: Physical Chemistry, Electrochemistry and Metallurgy.
2005-2008: Member of the Board of Directors the Italian
Electrochemical Society.
Member of the Editorial Board of "Transactions of the Institute of Metal Finishing"
(since 2003) and "Materials Protection" (since 2009).

1996 Lazzari Ph.D. Prize of the Electrochemical Division of the Italian Chemical Society.
